Under the direction of Jonathan Hickman and Chris Bachalo, fans will be able to discover a never-before-seen version of the famous Marvel vigilante.

Summarizing the Marvel universe to only Spider-Man, Avengers and X-Men would be considered by many fans as an intolerable mistake, as the House of Ideas is full of characters as varied as they are interesting. If everyone does not read comics to discover these overpowered beings, we can count on Marvel films and series, which continue to highlight newcomers.

After Spider-Man or the Punisher, make way for the Moon Knight of the future

While new adventures are planned for Spider-Man or the Avengers, not to mention a clash of the titans between Thor and Hulk, the next few months will also be an opportunity to follow several heroes. This is notably the case of Moon Knight, a famous vigilante who appeared for the first time in 1975. Announced for next April, the anthology Moon Knight: Black, White & Blood will honor the superhero created by screenwriter Doug Moench and cartoonist Don Perlin in a story that pays homage to this concept of black and white adventure. As a reminder, this concept was born in the 1990s and has already been applied to many heroes including Batman. For the first issue of this anthology, Jonathan Hickman and Chris Bachalo will be at work for an undoubtedly futuristic plot.

The story will indeed take place 6,000 years in the future of the Marvel universe, and the character presented as being the Moon Knight of this period will be a new hero, also chosen by the moon god Khonshu to be his avatar and protect night travelers. The first issue being expected for April 13, the first visuals of this new adventure are already visible. Chris Bachalo's drawings therefore allow us to admire the traditional cape, as well as the white costume, which recalls the hero's emblematic outfit. However, the tattooed skull face and the helmet give the latter a more futuristic look.

Big news for the Knight of the Moon

In the spring, the vigilante still unknown to the general public is therefore preparing to be in full light since, in addition to this anthology, fans will also be able to discover the great debut of Moon Knight within the MCU. Worn by Oscar Isaac, the show starting March 30 on Disney+ will allow us to follow Marc Spector, a vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. Its multiple personalities will find themselves embroiled in a ruthless struggle against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt. If the atmosphere of this series promises to be very different from the usual productions of the MCU, Moon Knight should above all be an opportunity to popularize this character still unknown to the general public. Just over a month away from its launch, the series is already raising a lot of questions and theories. Among them, it is rumored that the Midnight Sons could be introduced. In the comics, it is a team fighting against supernatural forces and consists of, among others, Doctor Strange, Blade or Ghost Rider. Except for the latter, all the other characters are already installed in the MCU.
